Diocesan Development Centre

 
Existence – Diocesan Development Centre consist of It has ten acre land, a three storied building, forest, a pond and cultivable land. It came to existence in 1993. It is a training wing of Social Welfare Institute.
Purpose-
Capacity building for all categories of people, men, women, youth including Schedule tribe and schedule casts of Raiganj diocese through skill development training, seminars and leadership training.
 
Focus area of work– Diocesan Development Centre work on Education, Health and livelihood of the people of the diocese.  
Activity undertaken –
To promote quality education in Church based schools it had conducted Teacher Training Course for the teachers of these schools and Joyful method in teaching technique for formal and non formal schools. There was a warden training for the boarding master. Total 120 teachers were trained TTC and 250 teachers in Joyful method in three years.
